About

As a rock climber and jewelry maker I obviously love rocks…. Their inherent beauty draws me to all kinds of wild places in the world. I think climbing is a most incredible physically creative way to get up close and personal with the environment and the beauty that surrounds us. This world is huge and life is ours to explore it. I think my passion for beauty, the environment, and playing out in the wilds is transferable. And through this blog, art, and any other vehicle I am committed to inspiring that passion in others. This can be my gift to the world, the only way I can hope to convince others to care deeply for the beauty of the natural world, and help save our planet.

    Hi,

Saw your photo climbing the Yosemite in the National Geographic Photo of the Month – April 2011.
It is simply amazing to see vertical climb with bare hands…do you use any life support or is it free hanging climb.
But… was impressed and wishing you all the best in all your future endeavors.

I do use ropes and cams and nuts to protect the climbing. Almost always! thanks for checking.

Just like the person above said. I saw you in that pic as well. I have to say, I’ve never actually searched for someone in a picture, but I have to say… you are one of the baddest girl I’ve ever seen. Just had to tell you! Beautiful, daring, and skilled! Awesome mix!!

    Hi Kate,

I’m 23 living in Amman Jordan, which is apparently home to some really great rock climbing. I’ve done it off and on in the past but I was wondering, how would you suggest getting more seriously into the sport? Where do you even begin?

And also I was interested to know what you love, philosophically speaking, about climbing?

Thanks and hope to hear from you.
    Cheers,
    Emily

    Hi,

Saw your photo climbing the Yosemite in the National Geographic Photo of the Month – April 2011. Since then it has become my desktop wallpaper…
And now this webpage will be bookmarked!!

Simply amazing to see vertical climb with bare hands…do you use ropes for any support .. because i do see a shadow that resembles like a rope..

I liked those ear rings collection in display.. surely you must have gone through lot of hard work to get it right…. I simply loved them.

May god of Wind and earth be with you …and Wishing you all the best in all your future endeavors.

    Hello Kate,

I love the work you do and have a lot of respect for the climbing you do as well. I would love to purchase one of your trio pendants. If you can give me a price quote that would be great.

    All the best,
    Karen
